Salaam

A friend of mine is having her 5th child, this is her 5th surgery.

Isn't dangerous to have so many kids with ceaser?..i'm realy worried for her. :(

Haa it is dangerous. One Somali woman was told to stop having kids because of it and she was like no birth control is xaram in my religion. The mid wife was like, having children outside wedlock isn't? :lol:

I know, i thought she stopped having kids with child nr 4, i was so shocked when she told me she was pregnant again.Despite the doctors warning i was so pissed of at her.Waxay igu jawaabtey ilaahy ba keeney.Caafimadkeeda iney NR 1 ka dhigta aheed and now she is scared to death and worry me. :x

A woman is five to seven times more likely to die from a cesarean delivery than from a vaginal delivery.
A woman having a repeat C-section is twice as likely to die during delivery.
Twice as many women require rehospitalization after a C-section than after a vaginal birth.
Having a C-section means higher rates of infertility, ectopic pregnancy, and potentially severe placental problems in future pregnancies.
Babies born after an elective cesarean delivery (i.e., when labor has not yet begun) are four times more likely to develop persistent pulmonary hypertension, a potentially life-threatening condition.
Between one and two babies of every hundred delivered by C-section will be accidentally cut during the surgery.3
The US is tied for second-to-last place with Hungary, Malta, Poland, and Slovakia for neonatal mortality in the industrialized world.4
Babies born via C-section are at high risk for not receiving the benefits of breastfeeding.5
The risk of death to a newborn delivered by C-section to a low-risk woman is 1.77 deaths to 1,000 live births. The risk of death to a newborn delivered vaginally to a low-risk woman is only 0.62 per 1,000 live births.6

The kind of shit Somali women put themselves through in the name of tradition.I hope this kid will be her last and that she and the baby do fine inshaAllah.

So you think the whole purpose of having more than 1 or 2 children is to drain the government?. Somalis have always preferred big families, nothing wrong with that.

So you think the whole purpose of having more than 1 or 2 children is to drain the government?. Somalis have always preferred big families, nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with having big families if you can provide for all of them.

inshallah khiar, im C-section kid and my mom did 6 so far. she is fine alhamdullilah, but drs warnned her to have any other kids.
