Ladies and Gents, what do you think of creating a zone where deleted topics could be moved to temporarily to assure all concerned that it was for the best and nothing personal against them. This would reduce threads titled to the MODS asking who deleted a topic and what not. plus this would hold the MODS accountable as well because this would take away the carelessness and deliberate acts they take at times based on the following but not limited to:

>emotions
>favortism
>dislike of individual
>abuse of power

This section would temporarily house such topics before they are permanently deleted.
For instance if a member complains about a missing post he/she and the mod could check
The post in question and examine the reason for its deletion. If the mod was correct to deleting it,
then that post would be history, but if the mod was wrong they could self correct and put the post back to where it belongs.

Post's that are marked for deletion would show the mod who marked it for the deletion.
this would hold the mod accountable.

its just an idea am putting forward to you guys and specially the mods.

Strongly disagree, I don't think I've ever deleted a thread for the right reasons and if I did it was by mistake. I moderate based on xasidnimo, emotion, personal reasons and most importantly, for my qabiil. As such, any attempt to create accountability here will be perceived by me as a direct threat to me and will result in permanent banning.

That can't work, you'd have topics whereby people are getting qarxised floating around for all to see a little longer

I'd say the mods just let it be known who deleted what if asked by those concerned. They also need to read the topic first before deleting it because of one comment.

exactly everyone would be able to see topics marked for deleteion which would enable forumers and mods alike to examine as to why it was placed there.
no more calacaal between the mods and other members. this will reduce the calacal by the no bodies like US and at the same time tame the triger happy mods.

this isnt a democracy this is a website its not that deep. I wonder how zingii would have reacted if not only were all his posts/topics being deleted but he was also recieving private messages about how he is bordering on shirk and isnt living up to his potential as a muslim

xajiyada, sorry to hear that you see my sugestion as calaacal.

maybe you dont know it but there are triger happy individuals
who at times go an extra mile to provoke others under ur administration.

as i pointed out, this will reduce calaacal threads titled to you and other top mods.
this means, if you are away and a topic deleted by another mod and someone
complains about him/her, you would have a way to investigate and you yourself
determine if they were right to do so or if they over exercised their power.

the system we have now doesn't give you such an option and you only rely on
here say.

you may disagree with me but in my opinion i think this is the way forward for the
betterment of this site. then again you are the MOD and the decision is urs, am only
sugesting.

The concept behind the idea i really simple.

notice how clan related posts are moved to the clan section?
this section would be like such and would only tempereraly store
posts marked for deletion (like 12-48 hours) or so.

if it was marked for deletion then the poster could atleast have
a chane to make his/her case to the mods within the time period.
if no complaints and its obvious why it was placed there, then that
post would be a goner.

I don't mean to be rude, but what you are suggestion is just silly, collect deleted thread in a special folder so it can be viewed by everyone, what is the point of deleting an offensive thread, if it's just gonna set around for everyone to see
