I am muslim, I was just stating a fact, Not something I made up, Btw ploygamy has become popular in the non-muslims communities. I'm thinking it's the thought of marrying 4 wives that is making them convert. I wouldn't blame them, Who in their right mind would let that opportunity pass ?

I strongly agree, If you can't treat each of your wives with the same amount of love and care, Than it's really not worth it.

Walahi i'm not sure if i can handle more than one woman. I'd be afraid they are talking about me all the time, plotting and planning to take over my fortune..or maybe cut off my thing..These creatures are extremely fragile and can be highly dangerous when pushed to the limit. Because they are so weak (physically) they resort to hit men, guns and knives when they don't get that kilo of Dahab you promised them during the Meher.

Polygamy a misunderstood phenomenon indeed!
First of all Law26 regarding the Quranic verse that refers to polygamy it was revealed to give justice to orphans. The verse is not merely limited to orphans but it has a general application with regard to the marriage laws in Islam. Therefore the Muslim jurists have laided down certain conditions if someone wants to take more than one wife.for example he must have sufficient finicial resources he must treat all his wives equally regarding where conjugal and other rights are concered. However where the heart is concered if the brother wishes to do justice he is not able to do so.
Having said that there are countless problems in society as a general today where polygamy seems to be the best solution (you may not agree lawa but face the facts).

Take for example your wife proves to be barren and medical examintion experts say that your wife will not be able to bear a child. What will you do then? Knowing well enough you wish to have children. I am assuming that is why you married in the first place. Is polygamy not a good solution then?????

As you are well aware of women are in large numbers today. What will we do with all the sisters that have no husbands??? Remember Allah created mates from among us. And its only human nature that a man needs a woman and a woman needs a man.
We all have certain natural desires in the case of the sister without husband how will she satisfy that need????

Or what if your wife suffers from a serious illness and she is forever confined to bed. will you take a second wife????

Law26 polygamy may be misunderstoof among many muslims simply because they ignorant of what the Quraan says and The sunnah of our beloved prophet.



I ask Allah the most merciful one to guide us to the right path and most of all to make us understand his religion the way he wants it to be understood.

Provided you follow the rules and regulations, polygamy is the way. Iam intending to have the forth one by the time i'm 40 insha'allah, marrying one in every 5yrs. you guys are all forgeting the core reason Men are allowed to have multiple wives. It was a way to decrease how many wives a man can have. I mean the pagan arabs would turn away from there wives, if all of the suden they were told to only have one wife. second to adoltery, women were their mere objects.

Law and whats wrong with getting married to satisfy ones desire. Isnt that why men are encouraged to get married young and to lower their gaze?. I mean after all once a man gets married has he not filled half of his faith.
