I shamed my history teacher today in class we where discussing the life about Vincent van Gogh I live in Amsterdam and I know a great deal about the fellah he was a interesting clown. Suddenly my Jewish teacher put me a on the spot and said hey S_lander-boy aren't you a Muslim I said yes aren't you a jew what's your point ?

Could you prove to us that Islam is truly the truth ?

Well if one reads the Quran you will find allot of amazing things from science to seas and water to Human embryonic development and so forth but since we are discussing HISTORY I would like to present a HISTORICAL FACT, One example of the events foretold in the Quran is the victory of the Romans over the Persians within three to nine years after the Romans were defeated by the Persians. ALLAH has said in the Quran:

The Romans have been defeated in the nearest land (to the Arabian Peninsula), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious within bedd’ (three to nine) years.... (Quran, 30:2-4)


Let us see what history tells us about these wars. A book entitled History of the Byzantine State says that the Roman army was badly defeated at Antioch in 613, and as a result, the Persians swiftly pushed forward on all fronts.1 At that time, it was hard to imagine that the Romans would defeat the Persians, but the Quran foretold that the Romans would be victorious within three to nine years. In 622, nine years after the Romans’ defeat, the two forces (Romans and Persians) met on Armenian soil, and the result was the decisive victory of the Romans over the Persians, for the first time after the Romans’ defeat in 613.2 The prophecy was fulfilled just as God has said in the Quran.



My Teacher was gob smacked and he mumbled well that is the truth and quickly change the subject the LOOK ON HIS FACE WAS PRICELESS.

After the class 3 students approached me and said to me we always had a preconceived opinion about ISLAM and from now on we shall learn about the Religion of Islam and considering to convert I welcomed that idea I promised them to learn them what I know and since iam a student of islam and my knowledge is limited I promised them to bring them to a my Friend and brother in Islam who is PHD holder and a Sheik he is intellectual man and is very knowledgeable about islam , they where very interested and open-minded Inshallah they will become Muslims.

its actually an interesting part of history.

The persians decisivley defeated the Byzantines, conquered syria and egypt and even anatolia.
Byzantium was surrounded, its corrupt government paralyzed,

it didnt have enough soldiers.


what happened was that a small time general in the african provinces(tunisia) Heraclius took his small army by sea and took over the capital by a coup d'etat.
then instead of defending against the persians he chose to attack a weak point.

used the navy to transport an army from the black sea through armenia and into northern persia,
and he attacked the persian capital.
and all this time the persians had an army 5 times his size scattered all over anatolia, Syria and Egypt.

he made them retreat back to save the persian capital and he defeated the persian armies individualy.

the arabian jews and the pagan arabs supported the perisan empire while the christians naturaly supported the byzantines.

this sura from the quran came down just before Heraclius took over as emperor, and when it looked like the byzantium situation was utterly hopless.

when the prophet muhamed predicted byzantium victory the pagan arabs laughed at him.

You are correct it's a interesting part of History, Persia sometimes had to fight on two fronts against invasions by other tribes at the same time they were fighting each other,The wars between Persia and Rome are the longest ever confrontations between two nations. From 92 BC to 627, each side sacked, massacred, conquered, and pillaged the other

but the persians turned out to be Victorious,

The Byzantine army in the 590s was quite strong, but was always close to destruction over pay issues. The Persian army was strong in the 600s to early 620s, especially under its best general Shahvaraz, and also had a formidable alliance with the Avars. But the Persian leadership was weakened by political rivalries, and Shahvaraz eventually rebelled against his king and seized the throne in 630, only to be assassinated two months later. This was what allowed Heraclius to finally win the war.
