Question to fellow Landers!
I hear from many of the older generation referring to Hargeysa as 'Herer' why is that? As far as I know Harar is an old city in West of Jigjiga.

apparantly the name means "harar gays"
cuz hargeisa is on the road that connects berbera and
harar ....btw isn't the somali name for harar, adari

I think you may be right seeing as the stuff shipped from berbera goes through hargeysa direct to harar.
As for adari I've heard of it but I thought it was the name of the original people there
