It is sad the level of jealousy coming from Somaliweyn, rather than being happy for 1/3 of Somalia's achievement in less than 11 years, and saying happy Anniversary Puntland he as resorted to undermine and downgrade a great State that soon will help Somalia rise once again.Puntland is a state in Somalia that built itself while still holding that blue flag up. Puntland is an example of what peace and security can bring to Somalia and how Somali people can do self-help.

From a desert iyo lawlessness, to economic boom, security iyo unprecedented development in less than 11 years. Now that is progress and the will thats in all Somalis.

I was educating the kid Somalian-Boqor who said: ''unprecedented show''.

Military parades and shows have been given in Somalia, and when the country was united and all state resources centrally administered the shows were the most spectacular.

As for ''been better or not'' thats a value judgment. With ''little copy'' I was refering to the fact that todays show was a mere copy of what has been done, and surely not ''unprecedented''.

Somalia: Puntland celebrates 11th anniversary

On Saturday, celebrations are underway in all major towns in the autonomous region of Puntland State of Somalia, marking the 11th anniversary of the creation of the State.

Puntland was formed, after leaders in Northeaster regions of Somalia declared it an autonomous state in 1998.

Thousands of people surrounded the town square in Garowe, the capital city of Puntland, to watch the military parade, while more festivals were held in other major towns across Puntland.

More then hundreds of Punt Landers have celebrated their 11th anniversary the establishment of Puntland state of Somalia in Bosaso Business Town.

It comes after most of the Cabinets of Puntland met many times as to make like this occassion, which was meat the renewing of steps taken by right side, during the last years.

It was not, where this anniversary is attended in this region only, but all provinces of puntland were celebrated special the big cities such as capital city of puntland garowe, Qardho,Galkaio and Burtinle.

All these Cities, where people were waving flowers and the five star blue flag of Somalia have been kept it's security, cars were all gone through and the policemen are kindly welcoming participants of the anniversary.

Puntland is one of provinces did not affect by the Somali civil war.

when somalia divided in to three parts puntland was member of saved Environment and it is also one of the Mams every one lives peacefuly and security.

The first president of Puntand was Abdullahi Yusuf Ahmed, former president of Somalia (2004-2008).

He was replaced by his vice president , Mohamed Abdi Hashi, who lost the presidential election to Mohamud Muse Hersi (Adde Musse) who led Puntland from January 2005 to January 2009 when the current president
of Puntland, Abdirahman Sheikh Mohamud Farole, was elected the third president of Puntland in January 9, 2009.
