Actually, MSB refused the deal that was offered to him in 1980/1981. He was told the deal that we are giving you has never been offered to any leader before you. It was a signal that he would loose power if he did not take it. He insisted on his bargaining stand and did not waiver from it. In 2 months later a rebel group was announed in Europe. The civil started and from that day and the country was going downward. He was initially used but by the time he found out the game, it was too late.
