Can any Somali leaders be trusted?
It is a disgrase every time some one is given authority on Public office he brings along his family and closest relatives while at the same time using the name of his Qabiil as a camflouge , even though his Qabiil does not wholy benefit the stolen national funds , so what is the point We must stop this because it is cancer and will not stop itself if We don't , at this time is a crusial time as the nation is trying to stand on it's own feet , let us get fairness and accountablity , contracts should be awarded on it's merits of who can deliver the services the state needs by bidding and picking best companies who can deliver it cleanly and cheaply but not who is related to the President, Primeminster , minister , governor or the mayor but who can deliver fairly and coast effectively HADII KALE MEESHA WAXAN ISU SHEEGAYNO OO DHAN WA BEEN OO GADHKAN WEYN OO LALA BAXAY SALAADAN IYO SOONKAN LA SAMAYNAYO WA HAL BACAD LAGU LISAY OO EEBE INAKA AQBALI MAAYO ADUUNKANA WAYNU KHASAARI AAKHIRANA WAX FIICAN MA FILANAYNO.

Somehow I reached that conclusion long time ago. I almost gave up on my people.gobdoon wrote:It is a disgrase every time some one is given authority on Public office he brings along his family and closest relatives while at the same time using the name of his Qabiil as a camflouge , even though his Qabiil does not wholy benefit the stolen national funds , so what is the point We must stop this because it is cancer and will not stop itself if We don't , at this time is a crusial time as the nation is trying to stand on it's own feet , let us get fairness and accountablity , contracts should be awarded on it's merits of who can deliver the services the state needs by bidding and picking best companies who can deliver it cleanly and cheaply but not who is related to the President, Primeminster , minister , governor or the mayor but who can deliver fairly and coast effectively HADII KALE MEESHA WAXAN ISU SHEEGAYNO OO DHAN WA BEEN OO GADHKAN WEYN OO LALA BAXAY SALAADAN IYO SOONKAN LA SAMAYNAYO WA HAL BACAD LAGU LISAY OO EEBE INAKA AQBALI MAAYO ADUUNKANA WAYNU KHASAARI AAKHIRANA WAX FIICAN MA FILANAYNO.

The transition from primitive society to modernity is a difficult one obviously.
What I fail to understand though is the silence of the many educated people in the diaspora.
The root cause and the current problem centres on the notion of tribalism(tribe) as the god of somalis. Unless, we kill this god we shall never aspire to achieve nationhood.

The Assignment of a GOD title is not a physical transformation but rather a metaphysically instilled property in the case of a Qawiil system. You cannot kill a perspective, you cannot cut it with a sword, you cannot shoot it with an AK47, you cannot hang it for it does not possess a physical body.Lamgoodle wrote:The transition from primitive society to modernity is a difficult one obviously.

Similarly Nationhood is an artificial construct the foundations of which must be sown in the hearts and the minds of a population. If done with genuine motives and integrity, this yields cohesion of the population to preserve a common mutually beneficial stance on political views, ethical conduct and socioeconomic goals.

First find real leaders and the trust part will take care of itself.

The Qabiil system has been killed by almost all advanced societies. True, you could argue that it has been replaced by other systems.Cirwaaq wrote:The Assignment of a GOD title is not a physical transformation but rather a metaphysically instilled property in the case of a Qawiil system. It is god and not God.
Nothing metaphysical about the somali god. It is a social construction of what Michel Foucault would have called "discourse" that is fed to the masses. It is socially constructed and reconstructed to fit in a sick primitive narrative
Re: Can any Somali leaders be trusted?
I think We need to comfront the notion if some one steals national fund We call him a good man LIBAAX but when the man is good and service honourably We call him useless MISKIIN IYO WAXMATARE by his Qabiil , so every Qabiil should change that attitude and ring the alarm bells when they see some one stealing after all the mismanagement of resources is going to effect your Qabiil directly or indirectly and the whole population in the long run , good start would be the new MPs they must be clean and must select the right leaders and keep them in check , the Parliement should have the power.
