2016 elections

Post by sahal80 »

President hassan sheekh will continue his first term but will not get a second term as all the political conditions are againist him

Dam jadid will go with him

Al islah are divided

There are two camps who are strong candidates to replace hassan sheekh

TFG guys may back!

Ala shaykh has two candidates, sh sharif and the HIPS wing professor afyare ilmi,

Some believe that sh sharif will be back

The other camp is abdi wali gaas, puntland leader

The reason he lost the last elections was because of not having puntland support, him being there is just to proof to the world how he is a good governor, he also works closely with the govt so he can stay close to xamar!

However, its believed that Gaas may get assasinated by a man who is his biggest local rival

Sources are saying that the US is adopting now a new possion that is againist the somali federalism and will advocate soon every province to manage itself alone after having seen how federalim may cause a new tribal wars.

Bro Sahal, Centralism is the way forward, and if USA and UK have their interest in Somalia they will go for centralism, as this man Abukar Arman (below website) explains on why they will support centralism;
https://www.hiiraan.com/op4/2014/mar/53 ... ffect.aspx
(Ethiopia and Kenya) and (US and UK), while they all are on the same page in defeating al-Shabab, they do not have the same geopolitical and geo-economic interest or strategy.
Clearly Ethiopia and kenya are for Federal system, and USA and UK are for Centralism as that serves their interest better in the horn Africa!

The African couple (Ethiopia & Kenya) see it's in their strategic best interest to permanently bury the Somali state and nurture the mushrooming clan-based paper tiger para-states that pose dangers only to themselves.

On the other hand, though they have made their respective contributions to further complicate issues, by and large, the Western couple (USA & UK)have been trying to resuscitate the Somali state for their own strategic purposes.

While counter-terrorism, piracy, and geopolitics make headlines, it was the relentless lobbying effort of a few major oil companies, eager to reclaim their old contracts (now in highly contested areas), and international institutions such as International Monetary Fund and World Bank, eager to reclaim their old loans and fat interests, that made it happen.

By predicting which Somali politician is going to be assassinated in the near future, Sahal has now, officially, taken political punditry to a whole new level.

Any educated, reasonable and sane (emphasise on the sane) somali from all somalilands will testify that a central somali government over a federal system is preferred. However a central government comes with conditions that cant be met at this time or in the near future.

Therefore one has to be sincerely delusional to hope for a central government with one commander in chief, one capital, one army from one particular tribe within a certain region.

We all love our people and we all love our land laakiin we all love "our" people a little more than our people and also love "our" land a little more than our lands.

Gaas will declare puntland an independent state within the somali nation and seek a reelection before jumping ship.
