URGENT Gedo Drought Relief

Postby Murax » Tue Mar 02, 2021 5:01 am

My family found trustworthy people who are taking water tanks to the people in the remote areas of Gedo. Currently $300/Water Tank.

Regardless of what means we have, we must all do what we can the situation is dire.

Can someone please for the love of God tell me how in God's green and brown earth is a drought possible in Gedo when the Jubba river runs right through it? :mindblown:

WadaniggaBarakaysan,

The drought is not affecting the towns on the River i.e Doolow, Luuq, Buurduubo, Baardheere. It is affecting the towns in the interior, especially Garbaharey, Ceel Waaq.

Myself, and my family are going through people we know, trust in Baardheere who take water tanks from the Jubba River. They use the water filters to sanitize the water tanks. It is $300/tank, and each tank provides enough water for 200-300 people. So far my family we paid $2000 worth I think, so hopefully that’s 6 tanks so hopefully that clean water for 2000 people. Our Uncles, etc are also involved.

I think if everybody teams up, we can weather this In Shaa Allah

I have a feeling this 'drought' is actually a man made famine imposed on us by Kenya and the stooge in Kismaayo. All aidflow for Gedo has gone to Madoobe for decades for which he and his Reer Abdullle clan family Reer Warfaa have siphoned off to Nairobi and Garissa. Weather modification is very real and maybe Kenya is using more subvert tactics since airstrikes have failed to dislodge Marehan resistance.

That was insightful. Thanks for the clarification. I pray for the people effected by the drought.
