Rubicon has been crossed

The Rubicon has been crossed as the saying goes. Farmaajo will either be crowned Caesar or be eliminated from Somali politics all together.

Crossing the Rubicon is a sign that the SFG is confident, and for the first time has exercised assertiveness. It can count on many allies (Turkey, Qatar, etc), some that are willing to finance the budget, military, police, etc for few to several years until the gov is self-sufficient. Let's bear in mind, much of the funds provided by the IC wasn't making its way into paying the military & police, building infrastructure, helping the needy & poor, etc.

I agree.

The SFG like paperino said feels very confident to make this high risk gamble. Farmaajo probed the opposition and kept pushing each time startled at how quickly they folded like a $50 Chinese polyester suit. He sized them up as a bunch of big talk, no action men. The watershed moment was the so called protest that never materialized when only CCW, Kheyre, came out for a stroll turned jog.

Now he is focus is on knocking back the IC, Kenya. He feels emboldened and has tapped on the greed of the current MPs who know they won’t be re-elected. The senate will come around once they see that they stand to lose their seats.

I agree. It’s practically due or die for the dude. He either hits jackpot, or he’s gone for good.
