ANALYSIS: Why the AU PSC Communique will be rescinded

Anybody with a brain and understanding of diplomatic protocols knows that particular AU PSC communique and its amendments won’t fly. Secondly, it was passed by states that have conflict of interest in Somalia such as Kenya and Djibouti. Dubbe’s statement was in that context. The UNSC letter was a response to this communique. Lastly, It exposed the multilateralism that was used for 30 years to oppress the sovereign rights of Somalia. Good breakdown. It was egregious, even the UN knew and hence their letter. FYI, the US sided with Somalia as well at the UNSC.
