Postby SunFromNorth » Fri May 14, 2021 7:25 am

HY used to be a great old school somali clan that had big boy fights with Ogaden and will kick Jeberti ass of eras long gone by

So tragic is the situation of second class status of HY in todays Somaliland

Habaryoonis is still a great clan powerful as always.

It wasn't that long ago when they were karbaashiing your wasakhgali just outside of laasqoray.

Not at all hy gets along with all the isaaq clans
Hy only is allergic to jebertis. As they enlarged the isaaq frontier. Through out the centuries. And most isaaq get get along fine with habaryoonis clan... Most likely the president of somaliland will be from the hy clan.

Ofcourse they are but landers are pushing each other also. Its the natural law of selection survival of the fittest. The wasakhgalis are just not that fit.

Just the Eastern clans habarjeclo with dhulbahante. Dhulbahante with in each other muse ismail hy subclan with wasakhgali. It happens in Somalia also. Hg vs dir in lowershabelle. Bantus vs hawiyes in Hiiraan.. Somaliland is not to. Volant though we have elders that make peace. Between clans. Unlike in Somalia. Where not even amisom steps in.

Guys with all due respect Isaaq in Somali terms are too small to have their sub-clans known by the ordinary Somali. To Somalis you’re known as Isaaq at best. Let’s be macquul.

The only reason that you view Reer Sheikh Isxaaq as a smaller clan than Daarood is because of the fact that we are the most united Somali clan with the biggest collective economic, political and military power, who happen to live in one continuous mass of land stretching from the Doolo deep in the Hawd all the way to villages in the coastal regions of Awdal.

Furthermore, we are the most ardent and fiercest proponents of the Somali ethnicity, this is substantiated with historical facts, having sacrificed our independence for a Pan-Somali state which never materialised, suffering under a brutal tribal regime that was humiliated and crumbled under our might and establishing the only true democracy in the horn of Africa.

So my dear friend Murax, ciyaarta masaajidka ka daa :D

It has nothing to do with small or big it's all about perspective. You know isaaq as isaaq because you view them with the lens of your darood or Marehan. But this is not the only view. In addition clan names are an identity or sub identities. For example compare darood to isaaq. Its not so much numbers that make the difference but because darood land are not vast land. For example majeerteen are know as majeerteen because of their vast land I puntland United. Why is majeerteen viewed as a clan and leelkasse as leelkasse leelkasse wa ina darood maxa loo soo kale qaadi wayey. Marehan will be called Marehan to diffrreniate who lives in majeerteeni and the darood that live in small areas in galguduud such as your clan. But because hawiye and rahanweyn live in between your land. Its impossible to just refer you to darood evengthouh many just call you this and Dont bother at all. Had your land been connected then there wouldn't be necessary to go into sub sub sub clan level. Maybe they main branches would be known. For example every somali has heard of habaryoonis a subclan of garxajis. Habaryoonis border all darood subclans with the exception of Marehan. Wasakhgali in Eastern Sanaag. Dhulbahante in Northern Sool. Ogaden maxammad subeer and makahil in Ethiopia. Majeerteen bicidyahan in hawd. With in the isaaq they border Ciidagale habarjeclo habar awal the only subclan they don't border is ciise and samaroon.

I have never heard of isaaq living in doolo/wardheer district.

Doolo/wardheer district is where all darod with the exception of warsangali meet.

You have marehan, ogaden, dhulbahante, leelkase and majerteen.
