Corruption is a massive problem in Somaliland State

Postby MrSinister » Sun Jun 20, 2021 11:28 am

Somalilanders like to brag about having peace compared to south Somalia, but what is peace if the average citizen cannot eat and local tax, remittance and aid is stolen by a corrupt few. Can you imagine if somalliland state had genuine leaders who focused on development instead of crying to foreigners about recognition and throwing parties. Ther corrupt Jeegaan have no shame and continue to con their own communities.

Here’s the reality:

You speak like peace is nothing.....something that you can pull outta your backside at any minute.

Even if peace was there only achievement.......it would be something the southerners would give their right arms for.

Sure. Peace is an achievement. But PL is just as peaceful, yet has no interest in separatism. Also, why do you think the young people in SL are going to Mogadisho or garowe for employment? Because, Somaliland is a corrupt mafia state where Jeegaan take all of the money and the people have nothing to show for it. Mogadisho has way more opportunities than Hargaisa, despite the threats of shababs. Think about that. At some point, the people in Somaliland state will wake up to the reality and throw the fat jeegan cats out.

That's because they know they can never stand on their own two feet, tiny population, no economic activity, incompetent government, terr.orism, clan fighting, tribalism, causing fitna between other tribes and clans for 130 years, stealing land from Kumade, Sade, leelkase, awrtooble and even hawiye via foreign governments.

They would be swamped, and taken over by EVERY clan the day after declaring formal independence, and they know it......

This goes for every single Somali clan and region by the way!

Not one clan or region can stand alone, as this would give legal way to exercise the sovereign right to declare war under international law. Potentially, small clan battles could become international incidents that impact global trade and political management systems.
"Uncontrollable war" is bad for business, especially if your country isn't selling military hardware to either of the opposing side...
No one wants this, hence no ictiraaf, and it will never come.
