1st a clarifications these partial elections are described by Puntland as 'tijaba'. they're only voting in 3 villages. so cut 'em some slack
they're just practicing

Still though. The ruling party is practicing how to cheat. Opposition niggas r saying there is a lack of transparency n the tribal treaties known as the complete Puntland constitution. they r especially weary of a closed list system that mite shut out smaller subtribes. Smaller tribes r afraid the administration will violate unwritten tribal treaties which are used to implement the vaguely written constitution. They are afraid of losing representation
"daahfurnaan la’aanta Guddiga KMG Doorashooyinka Puntland"
"waxay ku tilmaameen doorashada tijaabbada ah mid baalmarsan dastuurka Puntland"
u have to know Puntland tribal structure and genteelism to understand wut they mean by the above. u have the understand that the written constitution is not the complete constitution. certain tribal treaties n customs r extensions of the constitution
The tribal treaties that Deni is violating are seen as clarifications of the written constitution. By violating those tribal treaties that clarify the written, yet unclear, constitution, the smaller tribes feel the constitution will be violated to the detriment of those opposition tribes
their demands:
"abolition of the closed list system for local council elections and for the Deni administration to deliver on its promises"
wut opposition is doing:
"filed a joint complaint against the Puntland Transitional Electoral Commission with Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni and the international community"
must say I like that they r peace. glad they ain't behead Puntland leaders like those terrorists in Bari
