I can't believe what is happening in Sanaag nowadays. It is evolving into a blood zone. The people of Sanaag have been cautious of taking sides and seemed to have emancipated themselves from the quarells of both Puntland and Somaliland.

Ever since the LasQorey project is launched, the region have become a target for both entites. Certainly, after the project is completed, it would increase competition and might dwindle the influence of the two entities on other clans, for example, on Habajeclo and Habaryonis by the Habarawal commercial monopoly, and Dhulbahante, Leelkase, and Warsangeli, by the Majerten commercial monopoly.
