Zimbabwe: Inflation hits new record high of 2.2-million percent Wed. July 16, 2008 08:55 am.- By Bonny Apunyu. - (SomaliNet) Zimbabwe's the central bank's governor Gideon Gono said on Wednesday that Zimbabwe’s annual rate of inflation has hit a new record high of 2.2-million percent. "Statistics provided by the CSO (central statistical office) indicate that it is now at 2,2 (million percent)," Gono said in a speech in Harare.
