(SomaliNet) A Tuesday meeting between Somali Interim Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hossein and the European Union delegation in Somalia’s Adan Adde Airport in capital Mogadishu on Tuesday has been hailed by citizens who view the new efforts by the Prime Minister as a policy change to bring stability to the country, a Press TV correspondent reported.
The Somali Prime Minister met a delegation of 10 European Union officials after meeting with Hawiye Clan Elders.
According to reports, the delegation earlier on Tuesday was handed over a video of inhuman actions of Ethiopian soldiers against civilians during a meeting with Hawiye Clan Elders.
Meanwhile, in another development, hundreds of Ethiopians Soldiers arrived in Merka town of Lower Shabeele region in south Somalia where Islamic Courts captured Mahady town yesterday.
The Chairman of the town confirmed on Tuesday that Mahady is now in hand of al-Qaeda fighters.
Also on Tuesday, 3 of Somali military soldiers looting Waaberi district in south Mogadishu were captured by the District Police Forces after a gun battle.
Somali has not had a functioning government since 1991, when rival warlords overthrew Dictator Mohamed Siad Barre and then fought each other for power.-Press TV Online
