Somalia: 10 killed in Somalia’s Kismayo town

(SomaliNet) Clashes between Islamist insurgents and local clan militia in a southern Somali city has left t least 10 people dead and 20 wounded, officials and witnesses said Thursday.
"At least 10 people, most of them fighters, were killed in the clashes which appear be over control of the town," local elder Abdulahi Moalim Dahir told AFP. "Some of the dead bodies were only discovered this morning."
Four of the 10 known fatalities were civilians who were caught in the crossfire, Local resident Sahro Mohamed said.
Ali Hasan, a doctor at Kismayo hospital, said at least 20 people wounded in the fighting had been admitted for treatment since Wednesday. -AFP
