FA Cup: Arch-rivals, Man-U, Arsenal to clash in FA Cup fifth round Mon. January 28, 2008 10:21 am.- By Bonny Apunyu. -
(SomaliNet) Manchester United will play arch-rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup fifth round, while Liverpool and Chelsea were both given home draws.
England's top two sides last met in the FA Cup in 2005, when Arsenal prevailed on penalties after a goalless draw - Patrick Vieira settling the match with his final kick for the Gunners.
The previous season United won a tight semi-final 1-0 on their way to lifting the trophy, and in 1999 prevailed in a classic last-four tie courtesy of a Ryan Giggs solo effort late in extra time.
However, the Gunners won on their last FA Cup trip to Old Trafford, claiming a 2-0 victory in 2003 also at the fifth-round stage.
Championship side Barnsley are four divisions above Havant & Waterlooville but will also be major underdogs when they visit Liverpool at Anfield.
Chelsea also face a seemingly straightforward task against League One Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge.
The last 16 features more sides from the Championship than the Premier League, with Coventry City and West Bromwich Albion doing battle in a West Midlands derby.
The other two top-flight sides - Portsmouth and Middlesbrough - are away from home. Harry Redknapp's side visit Preston, fresh from their 4-1 demolition of Derby, while Gareth Southgate's Boro visit Sheffield United, who also beat Premier League opponents in the fourth round - defeating Manchester City 2-1.
Chelsea have been installed as bookmakers' favourites at 5/2 following the draw, with Manchester United drifting to 7/2. Liverpool are third favourites at 4/1 with Arsenal now available at 13/2.
