Signing United's Ronaldo this summer ‘impossible’- Real sporting director Wed. April 16, 2008 05:08 am.- By Bonny Apunyu. - (SomaliNet) It would be "impossible" to sign Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, Real Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic concedes. The Spanish giants are looking at Ronaldo to become the new 'face' of the club, in a similar way to former France playmaker Zinedine Zidane during his time at Madrid, Mijatovic was quoted as saying on Tuesday. Mijatovic has made no secret of his admiration for the 23-year-old Portugal international, but admits there is no chance of taking him to the Bernabeu any time soon. "Right now it is impossible to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. Who would not like to have him in their team? But we need to be realistic because his would be a very difficult signing," said Mijatovic, who also denied he had met with United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz. "There has been talk about lots of things that have nothing to do with reality.
