Pakistan: Leaders fail to close deal to restore judges sacked by President Pervez Mon. May 12, 2008 01:42 am.- By Bonny Apunyu. - (SomaliNet) Leaders in Pakistani failed to agree on a deal on restoring judges sacked by President Pervez Musharraf to stop legal challenges to his presidency. Ahead of a self-imposed Monday deadline to resolve the issue, negotiators from the two main ruling parties held talks in London throughout the weekend. But, officials said Sunday night they were heading back to Pakistan without a deal. Without a deal, representatives of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's party said members would meet Monday to consider whether to stay in the coalition.
