Middle East: Palestinian forces arrest senior Islamic Jihad leader Tue. May 20, 2008 02:02 am.- By Bonny Apunyu. - (SomaliNet) An official in the militant group said on Monday that Palestinian forces loyal to President Mahmoud Abbas have arrested a senior Islamic Jihad leader in the occupied West Bank. Agencies said Abdul Fatah Khuzaimiah, a commander in the Jenin area in the northern West Bank, is the most senior fighter taken into custody since hundreds of security men loyal to Abbas deployed in the city two weeks ago in a US-supported security push.
