Jordan: King Abdullah names new ambassador to Iraq Tue. July 01, 2008 05:04 am.- By Bonny Apunyu. - (SomaliNet) Jordan's King Abdullah has named a new ambassador to Iraq. Ambassador Nayef Al Zaidan was sworn in on Monday at a brief ceremony at the royal palace, attended by the king and his top aides, Jordan official Petra news agency says. Government officials say Al Zaidan will take up his post soon. King Abdullah earlier in June, promised visiting Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki that he would soon send an envoy to Baghdad.
