Pakistan: Suicide bomber kills 12 people, injures leading politician Tue. October 07, 2008 04:09 am.- By Bonny Apunyu. - (SomaliNet) The police in Pakistan said a suicide bomber killed at least 12 people and wounded a leading Pakistani opposition politician on Monday. The attack targeted the home of Rashid Akbar Khan Nawani, a member of parliament for former prime minister Nawaz Sharif's party, in Bhakkar town southwest of Islamabad. "The bomber blew himself up the courtyard when Nawani was sitting with his supporters there," said police officer Khadim Hussain.
