Greece rocked by an earthquake measuring 5.1 Tue. October 14, 2008 04:05 am.- By Bonny Apunyu. - (SomaliNet) Greece has been rocked by an earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale. The epicentre lay in the Aegean Sea near the island of Evia, northeast of the capital Athens. The quake could be felt across a wide area of the Greece. There are no reports of casualties or damage. Earthquakes are a common occurrence in Greece. Nearly half of all European earthquakes take place in the country.
