Warner Brothers decided to branch into music in the late 1960s. There were three music labels under that company: Warner, Elektra and Atlantic. Thus, WEA is an acronym using the first letters of those labels. It was first used in 1972, and continued on through the 1980s.
I'm not sure if WEA as a separate label released music videos in the USA, but it did in Australia and Canada.
