Favourite Quranic Verse

Postby MissFiora » Thu Jul 09, 2015 10:32 am

Post your favourite Quranic verse and state why it's ur favourite.

لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا
La yasmaA’oona feeha laghwan wa laa kidhaba
No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood.

My favourite verse ..right now is from Sura Naba verse 35. We are constantly lied to and lied about( as Muslims), it's nice to know that when Allah grants us paradise (Insha'Allah) we won't have to deal with ill speech and falsehood.

This verse:

Surah Ghafir verse 7,

Those (angels) who bear the Throne and those around it sing the praises of their Lord, and believe in Him, and ask forgiveness for those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah) (saying): "Our Lord! You comprehend all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who repent and follow Your Way, and save them from the torment of the blazing Fire!"

To walk around and know that right now at this moment in another realm ions and ions someplace else angelic beings are singing the praises of Allah and asking forgiveness for those of us on earth, :wow:

And when it's recited like this, it strikes the heart : :whew:

"Then we caused to inherit the Book those We have chosen of Our servants; and among them is he who wrongs himself, and among them is he who is moderate, and among them is he who is foremost in good deeds by permission of Allah . That [inheritance] is what is the great bounty." Quran 35:32

"[For them are] gardens of perpetual residence which they will enter. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and pearls, and their garments therein will be silk." quran 35:33

this shows how merciful Allah(swt) truly is.

The verse is telling us when Ya'juj and Wama'juj (Gog and Magog) will be released from the dam - from which they were confined to - into the world after the wall is reduced to dust.
He said: “This (wall) is a mercy from my Lord: but when the warning of my Lord comes to pass, He will reduce it to dust (and Gog and Magog would thus be released into the world); and the promise of my Lord is true.”
(Qur’an, al-Kahf, 18:98)

This below verse is telling us people who were banned from a town which was destroyed, and those people will only return on the back of Gog and Magog. We should be asking ourselves which town the Quran is referring here, who are the Gog and Magog, and has this action occurred.
“But there is a ban on a town which We have destroyed: that they (the people of the town) shall not return (to reclaim that town as their own); until Gog and Magog are let through (their barrier), and they swiftly spread out in every direction (replicating themselves amongst all the peoples of the world).”
(Qur’an, al-Anbiyah, 21:95-96)
According to some Islamic scholars, the town is Bait Al-Maqdis, the people who returned are the Jews, and Gog and Magog are the powerful forces who facilitated their return and protect them thru force, through UN, and thru every means possible today (NATO, IMF, World Bank, Mass media, intelligence agencies, etc). Allah knows best.

It resonates me because it explains the state of affairs in the world today, the situation of Masjid Al-Aqsa, and also knowing that Gog and Magog will be destroyed by Allah after the return of the True Messiah - Jesus Son of Mary (peace be upon him).
