Thanks for the answers guys.

lol@Basra, you make it sound as though I am a closet homo. I was just curious, because no one really knows what drives one to such an unnatural act. It just puzzles me thats all.

@ Basra  Almost missed your post.

I speak, armed with common sense, general knowledge and Allah's guidance. You may find my thoughts liberal, but I can assure you that a conservative Muslim, with extensive knowledge of his religion as well as being devoid of ignorance, would speak in the same manner about this very issue, a tabboo in our households. It shouldn't be a tabboo, because it indicates fear. Fearing this topic would naturally equate fearing the devil. Muslims are not supposed to fear the devil, at the contrary. This is why I admire Gifted's approach to this subject. Reasonable doubts always lead to the truth.

To reply to your question. You misunderstood me Basra. Humanity is an essential part of muslimhood, and you have to understand the context I was referring it in: I meant that having homosexual feelings doesn't make you a bad muslim, because you haven't transgressed according to the clear-cut rules. Humanity is much more abstract and worse yet, has several meanings. I know which one you mean.

' It shouldn't be a tabboo, because it indicates fear. Fearing this topic would naturally equate fearing the devil'

It seems u have exhibited more fear than is necessary.First, u expressed u find talking about khanissnimo disgusting, yet you are so well versed, eloquent and reasonable in the subject. You speak as if u are a suffering, recovered ex khanis,if there is such a thing! :D

'This is why I admire Gifted's approach to this subject. Reasonable doubts always lead to the truth."

This is interesting.Starscream May i be honest with you? I mean, i think there is a lot of discrepencies in your whole logic.I think in your great effort or pursuit to hide your 'true liberal feelings' --u Kangaroo yourself in an ocean of inconsistent arguement. For example- the lame explanation u gave about your 'Humanistic context' was obviously a fau pas to correct a freudian slip!It seems you r just as afraid as Gifted is--despite your efforts to conceal your liberalities!

Having said that-- let me get back to my initial impression and surprise. When i say u have FULL-grasp of this khaniisniimo situation than the average farah- i mean,u dont seem be just talking out of spontaneities.Neither do u sound a khaniis in denial such as Advo! U speak from an empathetic point of view.As if u r walking in this khaniisniimo shoes but still throwing out a defense mechanism distillment of 'i'm disgusted'. In fact, you using the word tabboo--is a clear indication of your thirst to want to talk about this issue! When one says- tabboo--they are usually 'above it'--that they r comfortable to talk about it.They never mean it is 'Tabboo' to them per se, but to others, meaning they have somehow come in terms with it, but not others, the society! They blame an outside entity, such as 'the society' on its fear to talk about it.'oh this is a hush, hush subject, a tabboo. But to you, this is a weather snow simple, comfortable talk! You certainly want to convince me or us, that u r armed with common sense, general knowledge and Allah's guidance'.I am not disputing you do, all i am saying is; the chef is not spilling the whole delightful soup ingredients here! :D

where in my posts did i say i specifically asked a Sheikh about if being a homosexual was xaraam? naaya get ur facts straight before u open ur mouth

the reason i know about this is cuz i went to an Islamic conference where the scholars were addressing the issue of homosexuality and to my surprise, they said it doesnt' take u out of islam....after they finished the lecture, i understood what they meant and that's its a huge sin but it's not a sin that makes u leave the folds of Islam...if u read my earlier post, when Alchemist said it's true that it's a sin and doesn't make u leave Islam, i asked him if he was also at that same conference cuz most Muslims think it's something that takes u out of the Diin.

The reason i posted this is so that Muslims who are mislead like i was in thinking it makes u a kafir can understand that it's wrong to tell anyone homosexuality is kufr, although it is a huge sin that shakes the throne of Allah when it's performed

In the future, if u wanna ask me sumthin, ask me sumthin lakiin bounce outta here wid ur stupid assumptions and stick to topics about people pissing in ur office

Guys,

This topic comes up with such extraordinary frequency I am beginning to think I should write a stock answer. I have researched a little each time it has come up and have pretty much stopped finding anything new.

Your own Imaam will give you the best religious answers.

Those who remain curious or unsatisfied can check:

Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible

Someone sent me an e-mail that broke down 100 randomly selected people from all the worlds cultures into categories. Eight were from Africa, and eleven were gay, seven male and four female. As demonstrated right here on S-net, this is not an issue that is going away.

 Grant...yes yes yes, this topic has been exhausted and will always come back. And you will always come back with the same arguements---an effusion speech about offspring and re-production capabilities.
