What two Companions of the prophet were allowed to wear silk shirts and why?

you know that it's not allowed for Muslim men to wear silk clothes, but these two guys were exceptional!

Narrated Anas:
Abdur Rahman bin 'Auf and Az-Zubair complained to the Prophet, i.e. about the lice (that caused itching) so he allowed them to wear silken clothes. I saw them wearing such clothes in a holy battle. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 170)

Yes that is right!

This may mean that, it's allowed to wear silk clothes for medical reasons.
