helped them as much as you can but realized that they aren't trying to help themselves.



In my case, after 5 yrs am finally done! I can't help people that aren't helping themselves

I was in that situation for like a month but I finnally pushed that person to the edge and when the person realized that no one gived a flying fuk about him, he got his act together.

I'm sorry to hear about your current situation. I wanna give you a hug but there's no hug emoticon You've done all you possibly can for 5 years - so don't be too hard on yourself. Hopefully, your friend will realize one day what a good heart you've got & what a great friend you've been, Insha-Allah. You can still be there for her, but in the background. Everyone is the captain of their own ship. However, just be save in the knowledge that you've done your bit, now it's for her to do her bit.

Maybe the person you are trying to help suffers from a mental illness you are not aware of. I have seen moms that went through all kinds of shit with their sons and daughters only to realize in the end that there is something wrong with their childs head and there is no hope for them changing for the better.
