Jabutí language

Post by ToughGong »

Jabutí is a nearly extinct Yabutian language that as of 1990 was spoken by only five people in Rondônia, Brazil, at the headwaters of the Rio Branco.

I don't know but I've heard it said it means Jab Buti
Buti is what Somalis call bears and apparently there once was a ship with bears on board on it's way to a zoo in Europe that ran aground in the area.Hence the Jab

By the way the word madaxkuti is interesting. I have a theory that its a combination of madax=head and kuti=dog in South Asian languages.
