"I have buried Rahim a long time ago" his dad is said to have stated. Thats the case for All Shabaab, they are blood crazed runaways who died in their parents eyes already.

BTW Gedo_Gurl how have you been?
Sad about his potential, but true.

I've been good. I have hardly been anywhere in ages. I'm off to Xamar in a couple of months for a break from London...believe it or not.

What about you? It's been a while. Did you study for a masters? Which field are you working in? You are one of the few ideologically sound, educated person on this place. :rose:
I'm currently in my MPP program right now, about half way home.

And I'm lobbying to go to Xamar this summer to see the place for the first time.

Public Policy? Awesome FAH, well done!

It's a good time to visit, a lot going on and a lot of diaspora all over, so great place to network too. Will they pay for you to go or help to organise the trip?

Thanks

Nah, this is a private trip. My father has built a hotel there and I'm trying to go back with him during the summer for a few weeks. By lobbying I meant, convincing my mother to remain calm and that I won't do anything to put myself in danger

I have an insane amount of vacation at my job so it feels right to use it now.

LOL I don't blame them at all, bless them and masha Allah on your dad's venture. Would you use the ATM there? I'm still trying to figure out the logistics of carying money. I don't want my family to deposit at a xawaalad every day, but the ATM idea doesnt seem safe. How do tourists go hotel hopping with only one cash machine in the city?

It has been prophesised that when the time comes that matters of faith become grey, scholars are at each others throat and fitna spreads like wild fire.....seek sanctuary in isolation. No better life than being at one with nature and away from humanity, the fitna of Somalis in particular. AS have only filled a void created by clannism.

I did not even think of that! Plus your banks charges.....$7 or more a withdrawal? Xawaalad would be no different. The news said that there would be another one by Dahabshiil and one other bank soon, but no reports yet to confirm that they've installed any.

It is possible Kenyan intelligence have a hand in this, and there may be new plans or operations planned inside Somalia. Or it could be that there are countries who don't like the direction that Uhuru is taking Kenya, and they've orchestrated this attack in order to further damage Kenya's tourism based economy. Whatever the case, an operation like this needs a major input from a state with huge resources. There are many lingering questions for this attack:

1. Why are all attackers Kenyan nationals?
2. Who selected this target and why?
3. Why is there always a warning from Western embassies of these attacks but Kenya was never told who the attackers are, what is the target, and when? If the West knew about this attack, why didn't they give the warning to Kenya with specific information for them to act upon. All warnings have been vague and Kenya could not have used them to prevent such an attack.
4. All terrorists were shot, and no suicide mission was reported, at least to my knowledge. Apparently, every terrorist is taken down before they are captured and could talk, including Kenya, US, UK, France, and Spain. Coincidence?

Something is fishy about this tragedy and many others before it!

Sperm donor dads and single moms,

you don't need to hide your kids' passports at all. Spend time with your kids, talk to them, play with them and be their role model. There was a kid from Canada that joined ISIS last year and got merked, aun. His parents are divorced, and before he went to Syria, his mom sent him to live with his dad in Minneapolis. The kid somehow befriended the Wahabi cult that operates in the city. Days before his departure for Syria, he was told to buy 20 plus flashlights and what does he do since he is dependant on his dad financially? He asks his old man for money to buy the flashlights.
The dad goes with him to the store and pays for the damn flashlights without questioning the reason he's paying for them.
After the son was reported dead, the dad remembers the flashlights and regrets not asking his son about their purpose.

Good points the Blue! What I have noticed is that Somali parents in the Diaspora don't spend enough time with their kids. What is even worse is that they send them to Duqsi Quraans and often don't question what their kids are taught. Some of these Wahabi bastards implant wicked and extreme ideologies on these kids at early ages. Parents need to let kids be kids; take them to sport tournaments, self-defense classes such as karate, movies and so on.
As for the Garissa attack, my heartfelt condolences to the families of these victims and I hope the relatives of these victims don't associate these Alsheydaan bastards with Islam as they don't represent Islam in any way, form or shape. I can't imagine the agony and the pain these parents are left to deal with. Instead of being invited to the graduation of their children, they were told to collect their bodies. These Alshabab motherfockers are heartless and animals. Their indiscriminate violence against defenseless civilians tells us that they are on the verge of being exterminated and Kenyans and the international communities should stay on the course and continue the just fight against these terrorists.

Aden Bare Duale who is the Majority Leader of the National Assembly of Kenya should be recalled and stripped off his leadership role because just few weeks ago, he was calling for the withdrawal of Kenyans from Somalia and having negotiations with Alshabaab. This man doesn't have a clue on what he is talking about and I would argue that Alsheydaan took notes from his namby-pamby statements. How can you be so soft and oblivious in dealing with these terrorists? Kenyans were forced to intervene in the first place and it is unfortunate that their Majority Leader would make statements like that. He needs to understand that this struggle to eliminate Alshabab will take a long time. If Kenyans, Ugandans and Burundians and all other AMISON troops leave Somalia, Alshabab will take over the entire country in no time; so does Duale think that Alshabab would leave Kenya alone? He is focking clueless bastard who should have never been allowed to occupy an important post like that.

For all those Somalis calling Kenyan troops to withdraw, you are being hypocrites on this issue and unreasonable because the Ethiopians, Djiboutian , Ugandans and Burundians should leave also. You can't be protected in Mogadishu by Ugandan contingents and call the Kenyans to leave. Something doesn't add up here.
