We could use this kind of forum for discussing the future of our people; how we can evolve into a better society; provide a critical perspective on our past. What do we have instead? Bigots, tribalists and brain washed people who cannot differentiate arabic culture from islam.

If you are a kid or do not have the knowledge to engage in a discussion, then read and learn. That is the best strategy.

From what I've found, using anything from the net to understand "Somalinimo" generally results in confusion.

That aside, what was said in this thread shouldn't be disregarded as opinions "from nutheads whose suffer from inferiority complex" or "self-hate". The majority of what was said is valid, and seems to have gone misunderstood. Discussion instead of sly remarks should be encouraged. But that's a rarity on this site.

Lama,u might have a great intention here but who is gonna filter that info for those here whose limited exposure to anything real is by coming here and reading it off the net.When the next person says they dont feel Somali,lets try to understand why before giving them a label,we do have those of us who are insecure but they dont represent everyone.
