Have you guys ever seen the British parliament? They constantly taking the piss out of eachother. But I agree, some measure of sobriety and professionalism is required. Especially when the matters on the ground ain't nothing to laugh about.

Murax,
Somalis are typically very relaxed and outgoing folk. It may not be professional but it was that that made us survive this near ending civil war. I bet you there will be no grievances that will appear by any group in Somalia when the new govt is installed and its all thanks to Somali's being outgoing and relaxing. If we were any other country, the post war would have been ugly.

Not during the civil war. But after the civil war, it looks like no group will publicly announce to the whole country that they have been wronged and treated unfair throughout these two decades. Post war will be very smooth and I dont think we can say that about most countries. The best time to state such grievances would be right now since the new govt' is being established and you can expect something out of it. But I have seen no one do so. Those that have been wronged in the past like women are just demanding their fair share of representation in parliament (they are fine with the 30%) but they haven't been demanding and expecting apologies. Same with certain groups that have been discriminated against. This wouldn't be the case in any other country. Just next door in Kenya and in wealthy Western countries, govts have established truth and reconciliation commissions to looking at all the wrongs that occurred and trying to bring some closure. It doesn't look like Somalia would do this because they would look to move on as quickly as possible (because they are not the type of people to try to live in the past and that is because they are very relaxed people)

Salaad Ali Jellee would fit right in the British House of Commons.
