If she was never a Muslim then the Sudanese government are corrupt and stupid. I just see this a publicity stunt. They won't kill her that is for sure.Shirib wrote:
Yeah there's differences in fiqh for apostasy.
But for this case, it shouldn't even be a matter of apostasy, because SHE WAS NEVER MUSLIM!!! The woman has always been Christian, she was raised a Christian.
Sudanese government needs to let this woman.

Re: is faith Inherited?
She was born to a Muslim father and a Christian mother, so on her government documents she was registered as a Muslim. But her parents separated when she was a child and she was raised by her mother as a Christian. She married a Christian man who her brother did not approve of and this whole thing which was a family issue is blow out of proportion and they're trying her for apostasy and zina. Neither of which she did.XimanJaale wrote:If she was never a Muslim then the Sudanese government are corrupt and stupid. I just see this a publicity stunt. They should blame her father if he separated he should had also taken care of his children. The father has no excuse, at first I thought he died but seeing that he seperated from her mother then it is his responsibility to look after the religion of his children.Shirib wrote:

Besides I smell something fishy about this story. If her brother didn't approve, how come he is a Muslim? or was he raised by his father? or is he her half-brother? Something is not adding up.

In my opinion they are but they don't have to do things like this to prove it.
