"As an expert of Islamic Issues"

How did you come to the conclusion that I am such an expert? Did I ever imply that? I write about a range of diverse issues. It's true that my comments reflect support for Islamic issues, but does support mean "expert"? You said: "Basically all the examples I gave you were what is happening in the west"; including "Bililiqo"? Why use a Somali term to depict "what is happening in the west"?

So Arabman,

If you hear the word bililiqo a bell will ring?

Ok leave about the west and all the examples I gave ;

1. Men calling their children Bastards,
2. Claiming sickness they do not have etc

Let us concentrate on the one issue you pciked ; "Bililiqo"

Does bililqo warrant hands to be chopped off?

Sure.

"Ok leave about the west and all the examples I gave"

That would be smart examples to disguise your intention to talk about the Islamic Courts not doing anything about maalka dadoow la dhacay.

"Does bililiqo warrant hands to be chopped off?"

You want my personal opinion or my answer as "an expert of Islamic issues"? My personal opinion wouldn't be a fitting answer, and I am not your "expert of Islamic Issues"; get one in the real world, or ask such questions in proper Islamic sites.

[quote="Gacalisa"]people, stealing is stealing is stealing, no matter the reason, and all should face the consiquences and be punished for it.

and a theive is someone who steals and there is nothing to it.

if a poor person steals they should too face the punishment, because as muslims we help each other and try to provide for our brothers and sisters, and if there is on in need the community should be well aware of that need, and the needy should stand forth and proclaim it.

Gacalisa,

I am not an expert in Islamic Jurisprudence but I think cutting someone's hand for stealing a piece of loaf or a morsel of food for staving hunger is somewhat harsh and is not condoned by the Shariica.

if you cut off someones hand whos going to take care of that person :?

by islamic law, if the thief who lost his hand was a family man, then the sharia makes provision to look after the man's family.

i am not saying that anyone should have thier hands cut, but i am saying a theive is alway a tuug, nothing to it, and i do think that it depends on the situation, that would cause someone to get thier hands cut.

but nevertheless, God has made rules that makes the whole community help one another, as in Zakah, if every one would pay thier Zakah on time and the right way, and make sure that almost all of the people in the categorie of eight was given the Zakah, then we would have a functioning community, in which the fortunate looked out for leas fortunate ALL YEAR LONG, and not only in RAMADAN, AND NOT ONLY GIVE TO THE MISKIIN AND THE NEEDY, BUT TO THE ALL OF THE EIGHT PEOPLE THAT FIT INTO TEH CATEGORY.
