These refugees started to pour into the West around 1991 and after... So my question for Caashaqa is what is the difference between some one who came here in 1990, 1991 and 1992? They are the same walaal...

Now I understand why so many people in this site refuse to admit that they speak Somali language... People are scared to be called flight 13

Actually, they started to come after '92/93. The term, "flight 13", refers to anyone who spent time in a refugee camp, anyone who was brought to the States ( as opposed to coming there on their own), and/or any recent arrival. They are not the same. Most flight 13's are uncultured refs. Caashaqa hasn't said anything wrong.

Thank I'm 19 and have always been in the States i don't shit about Somalia except from what I hear from my mom and the news but really nothing is wrong with being able to write in Somali it just shows that the ones that can are FLIGHT 13S meaning they were in Somalia hiding from bullets

Historians who claim to be young adults, right ( who not only speak fluent Somali but can recall times and dates of the smallest battles between clans) ?! Are you seriously trying to say these people are not either 1: lying about their age or 2: lying about where they grew up?!?

I don't know what this discussion is about. Most forumers who genuinely discuss qabil are either very, very, old or flight 13's. That's just the truth.

That's what I'm saying. It's one thing to get vexed when your clan is insulted and throw a few insults back, but to talk about battles, warlords, tuulos in the middle of no where..Holy moly.

james dahl, the canadian, knows about somali clan battles of back in the days. so he could be considered to be a somali historian
