Suufi
How following a madhab and having a salafi aqiida rule each other out? I'm following the fiqh of Imaam Shaafici and same time I claim the way of salaf.
About the topic:
What is meant by a hizb called salafis is the group of salafipublications, troid etc... Those people who are using 99% of their time trying to find out who has bidca (by their definitions) and then insulting them and warning everybody about them and if they see you reading a book or saying something good about this person then they will accuse also you of bidca and make hijra from you because you are not from their hizb.
Also something about them that I didn't see in other muslims is that they test you when they meet you by asking what do you think about Sayid Qutb or some other scholar and depending what you answer they separate from you and start warning people about you. Like their main goal of life would just to know who belongs to their hizb and who doesn't.
Now this is a sect inside the ones who claim salafiya.
There are tons of ways how this hizb inside salafis are following a way different than the early generations of Islam and maybe the most clear is the understanding of jihad. Ashaab and first generations were known by their great love for jihad. Culama in the past who have listed what were the qualities of the best generations always write about their love for jihad as one of the main points. Biographies written by scholars of earlier generations about Prophet (scws) were called al Ghazawaat (invasions/battles) because his life was full of jihad just like the ones who followed him.
Now how this new group can claim they follow the ways of salaf when only if something makes ducaa for mujahidiin or talks good about them makes them say that this person is jaahil or an enemy of Islam? These people hate jihad more than Bush and even make up new fiqhi rules nullifying jihad that didn't exist in 1400 years of islamic history of fiqh.

Re: American Salafi & Salafi_Student:
I support ONLF because they're fighting to free their people from oppression. Does it matter if they're a secular movement? Not to me, because I support OLF (Oromo Liberation Front) and in the past, I've supported the KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) among other secular groups fighting to free their Muslim masses from kufr oppression. The end justifies the means.sadeboi wrote:Kolombo, you accuse salafi and his sect to be very pro-western and that your ideology or al-shabab and so forth fight for the Islamic cause and you are all about Islam and not nationalism and so forth. Yet you support ONLF which is a qabiil oriented "liberation" front and its essential goal is to have Ogadeniya as sovereign state, forget about joining Somalia, also you have mentioned quite few times how Bin Saud and so forth cooperated with gaalo yet, and maybe your not familiar with this history, but the Ogaden elders back in the days ASKED to join Ethiopia instead of waiting couple of years and being a state or their own or joining Somalia---mind you, I am not against the idea of ONLF, but you overuse that excuse yet Ogadens were not forcefully part of Ethiopia in the beginning.
Do I wish the ONLF were a religious movement fighting to establish Shari'ah rule? Yes. Because only through such a meaningful mission can they truly achieve their goal. But, since they don't fit in this criteria, we work with what we have.
I'm not aware of any Ogaadeen elders who asked to join Ethiopia prior to Somalia's independence. If they existed, they were probably paid individuals who in no way represented their population. The fact remains that for the vast majority of Somalis in Somali Galbeed, they want to be re-united with their brothers & sisters. The sins of their fore-fathers does not justify their misery.
My argument against the Ibn Saud family underlines the hypocrisy that is the "Salafi" movement, because they misuse one hadith and ignore verses that hold more weight. Rebellions against Muslim rulers should not be encouraged, but if circumstances call for a rebellion against a ruler, within the limits of the Shariah & with a clear intention, it is permitted.

These guys want to bring chaos to peaceful muslim countries. For example, Saudi Arabia. Saudi is a place of Aamin. People their are worshiping Allah in security. Its home to Mecca and Madinah where millions of people make Hajj and Umrah. Also you have thousands of students who study at the islamic universities of Madinah and Umal Qura. So who in their right mind would what to start a rebellion, causing destruction and bloodshed? You want the land of Mecca and Madinah to become a war zone like Somalia? These guys have destroyed their own countries and now they are advocating the same destruction for peaceful muslim countries.
Allah protect us from their Fitnah. Aamiin.

I am not sufi but anyway what does the Saudi family being corrupt have to do with anything. The only thing we can do as muslims as the prophet said in many hadiths is to be patient and make Du'a for them. Akhi this is the sunnah. What these people what is to start blowing up Gov. buildings and bring chaos. Couple of years ago in Riyadh a suicide bomber killed dozens of people, killing mostly innocent people. This is what they want. they want young muslims to strap bombs on themselves and blowup buildings, gas stations, etc. So what is in the best interest of the people? To follow bin laden or be patient?

Wa aleikum salaam warahamatullah wa barakaatu adeer. Fighting the Ibn Saud family or any other corrupt ruler without the right intention and without a better replacement is very foolish. I never said let's fight them outright. I said if the replacement is a better option and it is done within the confines of the Shari'ah, then it is acceptable.hyperactive wrote:salam kolombo.

Let's remember Ibn Zubair (ra) who rebelled against the corrupt tyrant Yazid Ibn Mu'awiyyah and Hajjaaj. Are today's Makhali "scholars" more knowledgeable than Ibn Zubair, Ibn Umar and other children of the sahabbah? No. In fact Rabee' Madkhali made a name for himself by writing a book mocking & insulting Sh. Qutb who was long dead by then.
These people have no shame, why write a disrespectful book about another scholar who is already dead? Sh. Qutb was tortured by the Egyptian government and died in the end, he was a martyr in some degree, but the Madkhali hate him more than they hate corrupt, immoral individuals like their king.
I don't want them abusing & lying about the religion for their hizb, because that's what they are according to Sh. Ibn Uthaymeen, that's all. I wish no harm on any Muslim country, I want no civil war in Saudi Arabia or anywhere else. I want no fitna as they accuse me of. All I want is to show their hypocrisy.

What's wrong with Hizbut-Tahriir? Essentially their main ARGUMENT/POINT is to establish a Caliphate. Isn't that what we as muslims should pray for, and yearn for, "A united Ummah?" That comes under a Caliphate.

Hyperactive,
They've dubbed a name for every scholar or sheikh they disagree with, here are some:
-Dirty groundhog (in reference to Shaykh Hamood ash-Shu'aybee).
-Qutubee dog (in reference to Sas-Jamal from CG).
-Rabid dogs (in reference to anyone labelled with any of the above defined terms).
-The dog (in reference to al-Imaam Ibn Laadin).
-Perennial defender of Innovators and betrayer of the Salafee Aqeedah (in reference to Ibn Jibreen).
-Howling dog (in reference to Sh. Qardawi).
What does the religion say about insulting Muslims?
"O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion, indeed some suspicions are sins. And spy not, neither backbite one another"[al-Hujuraat 49:12]
It was narrated from Abd-Allaah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas that a man asked the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) which of the Muslims was best? He said, "The one from whose words and actions the Muslims are safe." (Narrated by al-Bukhaari 10; Muslim, 40).
I've an audio lecture by Sh. Umal, whereby he talks in great length about how a group of Somali "Salafi"/Madkhalis edited his lectures, then presented them to Yahya Hajjoori in Yemen. After listening to these tainted lectures, he called Umal "An ignorant innovator." and said no Muslim should listen or seek any knowledge from this individual.
With their lies, they have denied thousands of Muslims the opportunity to increase their knowledge about their religion and have denied the Sheikh an opportunity to increase his hasanaat. Then they claim to be the only group following the Salaf.

The Madkhali/"Salafis" are the mortal enemy of Hizb ut-Tahrir, because Hizb ut-Tahrir calls for a unified Caliphate that rules all Muslims throughout the world. It calls for the dismantling of corrupt "Muslim" rulers, sharing of Muslim property i.e. oil revenues, ruling by the Shari'ah by one Caliph, etc.
The "Salafis" being the puppets of the Saudi monarchy are opposed to any group that threatens the interests of the Saudi government, these groups include; Akhwaan al-Muslimeen, Qutbists, Qardawi supporters, Al-Itixaad, Al-Islaax, etc.

Saudi has its own problems and is mostly caused by the corrupt royal family, do you know that the level of poverty in Saudis is alarming especialy after 1991 who is to blame? So here their people are seeking justice some seek in Bazzire ways and others through peacefull but strangley all of them are incacerated and mistreated. As years pass the Saudi royal famliy is becoming more greedy, corrupt while the people having travelled overseas are comming to see the difference Saudi Islam and Western secularism and macal asaf shadiid. people are becoming tired of this hypocricy as even western secularists are more independant than the Saudi version of Islam. The Saudi version of Islam has been since 1991 trying to use corrupt culamas to divide the Ummah i.e to make busy the population in calling each other Takfirs giving breathing space for the corrupt Govt. funny is how this squabbles has been imported abroad and is now being used to indoctrinated people who originaly had no akhlaq and dastuur.
Dynasties like the Umayad, Cabasid, Fatimid & Ottomans fell due to simple reason corruption and injustices the Saudis have fallen into same trap nor will eloquent corrupt Shuyukhs save them as it never saved the other dynasties.
