Political disagreements is fine as long as political opponents aren't being hunted down. Both leaders might have disagreed but they weren't killing or arresting their political opponents.

If the democratic system was allowed to take its path, we wouldn't have the problems we face today. Dictatorship, despotism, nepotism, clan-mentality rooted in Zero-Sum politics and the mentality that says "one man's view is better than the view of the entire nation," is what killed and continues to kill Somalia.

President Aden Abdulle Osman and President Abdi Rashid Sharmarke showed us that democracy can work in Somalia.
