is this topic about somali-american and somali-brit accents or the standard american & british accent? if it's the former, the standard somali-american accent disgusts me. only a few somali-americans actually sound american. as for somali-brits, their accents are cute and entertaining.. well, that is as long as it's not some eurotrash accent because even as a canadian i can pinpoint those fakers.

Erm, I'm not a fan of the Standard American accent (one we mostly hear, on news and people) to be honest, I'm quite stuck up on my accent, I honestly enjoy listening to the standard BBC accent. But with American accent, I'm a fan of the deep southern accent, I find it hilarious, and trying to understanding it is my goal. I also like New Jersey accent. My favourite accent by far in the UK, is the Scottish one (it differs but I'm gonna generalise now), and I also love the french accent, a person who can speak english with a french accent and throws in there a lot of french, khatar.

British accent is very commanding. When I attend meetings and seminars and a english fellow is speaking everyone attention is veyr good and hangs onto every word. Very nice accent.
