I've been to both Somaliland and Puntland twice and I've never seen Somalis that look like the pics you posted, feature wise not skin colour..

West you right, the Northern Somalis have less bantu features(in my opinion) and in fact all Somalis rarely have bantu features, I was shocked by the mayor of Bosaso walahi and the pictures posted by Union, they must be Oromo, I know there are many immigrant Oromo in the North. In the South some are actual Bantu, Raxanweyn, or just plain old Somalis with ugly features.

but skin color is the reverse, the are many more lighter skinned Somalis in the south than there are in the north, the weather in the South is less extreme.

we are just Somali Ok, Not Adoon and Not Arab, and definitely not Bastards(Mix-race) so stop asking this question. if you want to affiliate a color to Somalis well pick one, purple, green, blue etc people get the most absurd skin colors ascribed to their race, like referring to Native Americans as Red people even though they have brown skin to light brown skin, what about referring to Orientals as Yellow people even though there are hundred of millions of them who have pale white skin, and did I mention the Indians who are referred to as brown people even though they are Black in skin color.

This tells you actual skin color and that which we refer to people as are two different things, we are a distinguished people very different from the regular traditional blacks, so we should call ourselves something else than Black, something that reflects our unique people, so people don't get it mixed up, something that differentiates us from West african the same way europeans(whites) differentiates themselves from Asians(Yellow) by means of color. lets be creative and call ourselves blue people, the blue race or maybe the pink race.

And he doesn't look like a biddah he looks pretty much like a standard old Somali fella give or take.

I know the south is diverse hence why there are more lighter skinned Somalis there.. But I wasn't even chatting about skin tone, that's irrelevent.. But rather refering to the sharp, distinctive Somali features.
