There is no real khat ban. You can eat it in private, but if they try to enforce the ban and stop distribution we will go to war with the Ethiopian flag around our shoulders

Well Faroole made a huge step regarding the qaad policy, he said on more than one occasion that a qaad chewer will not be allowed to work as a civil servant for the Puntland adminstration That is a start.

As For the ones who say qaad is not xaraam because qaad is not mentioned in the Qur'aan. xashiis is also not mentioned!
Qaad and xashiis are haraam based on analogy. Because we know why khamri is xaraam, because it has an intoxicating effect, so does qad and xashiis. Based on the similarity of the effects it is xaraam.
