Well i must be looking in the wrong places,
im in Dubai.., Abudhabi is boooring i wouldnt last a month over there before quiting and going back to OZ.

You wouldnt belive how many people from the UK , Canada and US
who used to live in UAE.
When i was in Toronto, i met 6 of my firnds from the UAE of nationalities from, Indian, Arab and 2 canadians.
I visited the University of Toronot in Missiasauga and would you beileve
a quarter of the people in a party around 30 people were from the UAE.


and in Sydney , My Barber used to live in the the UAE,
also my GP, and local butcher.

Wow..small world it is..and i agree Dubai is alot better then Abu Dhabi..and there is more civilized folks in Dubai as well if u compare to Abu Dhabi..too many caraabs there who are very arrogant and stupid!!

I was impressed with the little I saw of Dubai...the malls...really nice...marble floors so clean you can eat off of them...
I didn't get the somalis dressed in full arab regalia though...
I can understand not wanting to stand out, I hear that's the official dress code from primary school on or what not...still, do you have to take it to the extreme? Granted, most of us here in the west or even in Africa wear pants, shorts, shirts and the like but damn it, I would not walk around in a kilt and sporran just because I live in Glasgow
