In other words you're for a woman's right to choose her own way of life?

If thats so then why would want the xijaab/niqaab to be banned? Just like you chose the way you dress don't you think there are plenty of women who chose to wear the Xjiaab/Niqaaq?

Just because you think women have the right to choose doesn't mean you have to be in lockstep with gaalos adeer.

clearly this thread - or, more correctly, propaganda piece - is purposely misleading. but since this was posted by someone who hates islam/muslims, no surprise there. the fact is he was only refused citizenship because he stated his opinion. we don't know if he actually forces his wife to wear the niqaab or not. we can safely assume that his wife wears the niqaab. but does she wear it because of force or her own will - this we don't know (based on the kuffar reports of this case so far).

I think Mad May has a point. If the lady was forced, meaning she did not want to wear it she should obviously be protected especially considering France is a non-Muslim secular Western state. Then again why is that lady still with husband-dictator who forces her to wear what she does not want when she is in a non-Muslim secular Western state?

Also, France is just petty wallahi refusing citizenship based on piece of clothing. Can you imagine shit like that in U.S or U.K?

Nah, they refused citizenship because he rejected the fundamental values of the Republic, (in rejecting the equality of the sexes and forcing his wife to dress as he pleases) so two actually, liberty and equality. He might even have something against fraternity, who knows.

Ah, shut up and realize bullshit for what it is; bullshit! This is a civil issue not a constitutional issue. People do not become citizens if they refuse to take the oath of loyalty or they commit treason, or etc. People do not get denied citizenship because they refuse "not to steal" which is or is not compatible with French moral values.

France just hates having the largest Muslim population in Europe and wants to start taking action limiting and even backtracking it. They are looking for a fight, an excuse..setting the bar so low such petty conduct becomes normal and unremarkable in the future when they ultimately go as far as saying "praying 5 times a day is not compatible with our secular values".

It is like the Americans during World War II telling Japanese who ate teriyaki they were not "really American" but still Japanese and as a result capable of aiding, abetting, and spying for Japan and so deserved to be rounded up in interrogation camps.

If you can't realize such obvious reality, then I must say people have a case when they call you an Islamophobe. :|

I recognise that there are some cynical forces at play here in the whole 'debate', that doesnt mean that these excuses or justifications can be cancelled out because they are espoused by crafty politicians. For the life of me, I cant fathom why someone who rejects the founding principles of a nation would apply for citizenship there :|
And also, there's a difference between eating teryaki, and denying another human being of their liberty. If people are told that by embracing their culture or religion (the Japanese example) they somehow relinquish claims to their adopted country, that is clearly racist. But objecting to subjugation and rejecting citizenship claims anyone who supports the subjugation of women is a-ok with me, does that make me an Islamaphobe? No.

that is one thing all the gaalo somalis have in common. look at mad may and how much of a tribalist she is though she hates everything about somali culture and islam. i remember a character by the name of intruder who was an atheist was the worst tribalist i have ever come across on the internet. the guy lived and breathed tribalism yet he knew absolutely nothing about the somali people and their culture for i suspect he was born and raised somewhere outside somalia.

She's not an Islamophobe, she's just too hasty. That's the only problem she has (and I bet she sometimes does it to get a reaction).
