I dont know why this Xabsh people rape and kill and burn down all the Ogaaden villages.. If any of that would happen to our people obviously we would also stand up and fight for our rights....[/quote]

So brother LiQaaye, U have no sympathy for your fellow Somali people? Shocked . I thought of you differently saaxib. I am genuinely concerned by the plight of the Somali people in Mogadishu (and presumably most of them are Hawiye). I thought you're educated and rationale and not a one-eyed Issaq man. Confused

Lordpick... Brothers don’t get me wrong, I like Ogaaden people, and I really do care for them, and hopefully one day insha allah I hope they get their independence from Ethiopia, tho that will be very hard……

What I was trying to say was so far us Isaaq people have not seen anything bad coming from the Ethiopian government, but we see whats happening in Ogaadenia and what they are doing to the Somali people, lets be honest here there is not much the somaliz in zone 5 can do to the Ethiopians…. And I would advise the Ogaaden people to sign a peace deal with this Ethiopian government, and try to live with ech other in peace, going to war with them over and over again will not give you freedom and the Ogaaden people will live like this for ever…..

I understand your sentiment and we could argue, we cannot defeat the Ethiopians in terms of military efforts alone, but unlike civilized nations like Kenya (where Somali people could leave in peace and have a stake in the nation's cake), the Ethiopians are plain animals. They will kill and rape you regardless. To them, you're not Ethiopian, however much you plead otherwise, you're just a nomadic Somali to be karbashed. That is why, the Somali people in Ogaden have no choice but to fight until the last man and to hell with the consequence, be it the lack of economical development or deaths of our people. Maybe this statement from 2Pac sums up our situation:' I would rather die like a man than live a coward' Cool

We are under occupation and you are talking having a sit down and signing a peace treaty like thats gonna work. There have been plenty opportunities were the ONLF agree to have a talk with, but the so called government refuse to talk outside Ethiopia.
