You people should learn something about ports before you make stupid claims like this. Bossoso is not deep port and can't ship huge cargo vessels like Berber. Berbers is deeps port located at the mouth of the red sea. If Somaliland is recognized Berbera has the potential to become busy port like Dubai, because of the location alone.

About the Port of Berbera

The Port of Berbera is the only sheltered harbour on the south side of the Gulf of Aden. Located strategically on the international oil route, Berbera is a deep-sea port and can facilitate six vessels simultaneously. Approximately two million tons of cargo will pass the keys in 2006. The port is planning to expand its operations shortly with the introduction of a new container terminal. It is the terminus of main trunk routes from the city of Hargeisa (capital of Somaliland) and Ethiopia. Last February, the Ethiopian Government ordered all the state enterprises to import and export their goods through the Port of Berbera

you please are making fake claims from fake resources. stop getting your info from somaliland.com because that website is not accurate. Bosaaso is sooooo way better and bigger than berbera. Bosaaso Port is the second biggest Port in somalia after mogadisho that is.....

^^ Berbera was used only when both Bosaso and Kismayo Port were shutdown by Siyad Barre to try and punish the Majeerteen. So every herder used Berbera to export their livestock and that is how Burco became bigger because it became a hub for people importing and exporting. Today, Bosaso generates more $$$ then Berbera and Puntland is planing on expanding its port. Ethiopia is the only country who uses Berbera.

Berbera does in a wekk what Boosaaso does in a year, plus Berbera is the largest port, has the biggest runway in the whole of Africa and the potential to unseat and beat every other port on the ead sea and the Indian ocean.
