I know for fact that afte every battel the qabiils would make a poem about what happend and who died,! and for the Majerteens, the Reer bicidyahans were the ones who allways made the poems such as.

The war was between Xer(mohamed Muumin of Leelkase) and all Cumar maxamuds except reer mahad! the reer mahads entered the fight very lately? for crying out loud the tiny Leelkase Sub clans such as Maalismoge were doing mitid? why? because we were outnumbered by Majerteens and their Goverment forces guurmad? What are you on about?

You are quoting a jealous isaaq man who says that my own uncle yasiin nur stoled millions from the somali government while working for the somali government but he wasn't even apart of the somali government.

That idiot TANI has time after time hated on Majerteen and Maxamuud Saleebaan specifically. His words are nill nata.

But a leelkase Educator the most famous leelkase Mr Samatar a man who recounts it as. LEELKASE Vs Omar Maxamuud.

"They (Leelkase) got into various and sundry feuds to the east with ‘Umar Mohamuud Majeerteen and to the west with the Habar Gidir Hawiye. It was in a particularly lethal feud with the ‘Umar Mohamuud in 1964-5 that Abdusamad, my Captain Ahab, enters into history as a legendary warrior, leading a Leelkase militia to fight off the powerful ‘Umar Mohamuud to a standstill (this is the Leelkase version; the ‘Umar Mohamuud claim they stopped short of finishing off the Leelkase for fear of divine retribution)."-Said Samatar
I could say the samething about your sources Said.Samatar! Hes from My fiqi-Ismaciil and he out of all people should know better then write gibberish! when his cousins sparked of the war himself.

re-read the artical he said! the Leelkase fought you to a standstill! thats what they claimed? while the Cumar maxamuds claimed otherwise! claims a bogus as long as you dont put your money where you mouth is.

I resent the part where he said Cumar maxamud fighting the Leelkase? More Like Cumar maxamud reer bicidyahan Goverment forces Reer maxamud, and all them other minor MJ clans. Why would the goverment forces get involed unless one of the clans were being karbaashed?
What government forces? Your own fiqi ismail guy doesn't speak about gov't forces. It was according to samatr leelkase vs Omar Maxamuud. You are bringing isaaq guys and I AM BRINGING A REER MUDUG MAN FROM ONE OF THE CLANS INVOLVED. Do you see my logic? He should know better? You mean to lie? He is speaking the truth.

CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCH
Hes basically trying to not take anysides! trying to put the fact that his reer abti were karbaash so hard that they went to get gurmaad from bari and Hawd, on a low low. Wallahi my own Majerteen relatives told me that this was a Majerteen Vs Leelkase war, where the goverment force played a significant roll on the Majerteen side. Surly they thought they could clean the Xer out from Gaalkacyo and Mudug! but they failed, thats why the the war is called " Casar biliq" meaning casarki baa ku dhacay while they were trying to do damage it flipped back and did them more harm then it did to the Xer sub clans.

"hatever the true version of events, the Leelkase came out of this feud with renewed confidence in their capacity to defend themselves by the sword"

Some of these fratricidal wars were happening outside the borders of the republic, but it is well known that the Government of the time was a participant, one way or the other, in these wars. In the west there was the Makyl Dheere-Bahaber Abdile feud. In Hargeisa Area there was the Arab-Saad Muse feud. In Buroa and Lasanood Area there were skirmishes between every sub clan and other sub clans. In the Ogaden area there was the Ali-Harrun war and the Afgab-Dhaweed one. In Mudug there was the Leylkase- Omer Mohamud wars, and the Mareehaan-HaberGidir battles. In Benadir there was the Muroorsade-Abgaal one, and only God knows what happened south of that area. During the three years where Mr. Abdirazak was the P.M, the whole nation was in turmoil and the picture was not so much removed from what is happening in ex-italian Somalia of today. There was no life in the countryside at all, and hospitals were full of the wounded and maimed. It is significant to mention that all wars stopped when Abdirazak's Government fell. "

To make something clear about the war between Lelkase versus Musuqmasuq Government (dhabayacos) in 1964.

all the 3 major battles won by the lelkase militias although the government (headed by the Police cheif M.A.Haban & Abdirizaq Hussein) were directly supporting and giving weapons to the dhabayacos side included by all their Reer Bari cousins..

An eye-witness and Ex-Police officer (Gaaljecel dude) who lives in Toronto once told me..

Unclebin I would like to have a dod about the war but you are blinded by the words of Said Samatar? Am coming with valid points and facts! Prof Samatar wrote 8 lines about the war. I know his Younger Brother! If I ask him about the war he would say otherwise? I knew about the goverment forces being involed before readin the Issaqs dudes artical.

Its logic wallahi! ask any Majerteen person and he will tell you that it was a reer Khalaf vs Leelkase war ask a Leelkase person and he will say it was between reer Xaji of Mumamed mumin vs the whole Majerteen clan. the truth is things happend that were expected to happen! such as Leelkase being abel to protected themselvs from whom ever messed with them.

Do you know that Over 40 Garaad\Suldaans were forced to come to Mudug to hold talks between the warring tribes? the Abgaal Suldaan who never sat a foot in Mudug came.
