Can you post that saxib?

Unclebin, in one instance, I read that Herti were the first group to be pacified. He compares the Herti in Kismayo with the peaceful people around Kismayo like Bajuni, saying that they lost the characteristics known for the unruly Somali. The Herti were traders in that they built the city extremely well.

Riighaaye

They said that they were the first to resist the british and the first to give up in Kismayo. Reason being the british fleet docked right out side of Kismayo and we were relatively stationed inside kismayo and it's general 50 Km radius at the time.

Meaning easy prey.

We weren't living deep in the interior like the Caghdeer.

You absolutely right! they were the first to resist and the first to be pacified. They couldn't afford a long war with Britain and its imported African Rifles Company. Nevertheless, they took advantage of all the opportunities and eventually won control of the key to the city.

Dowlad, seriously, who was him that gave you the password? Laughing

They couldn't defeat us even after pitting all of their forces in east and southeast Africa against us.

Dowladsade, I can't concur with your Jubaland. Jubaland covers large tract of land , Kismayo being the Headquarter. The Mareahaan tribesmen settled beyond the Ogaadeen territories, southewestern of Kismaayo.

But I have heard orally that Mareehan were part of the Harti group in Kismaayo.

Dowladsade, the last link is a great boost to your history. It shows how powerful Mareehan was back then, but that was only one unsuccessful campaign.

But we Warsangeli also were tough. At one time, Sayid appealed to us to pacify the Dhulbahante.

And in this link, we were one of the three most powerful fronts of the army of Dervishes besides the great army of Sultan. See how our forces were spread out.

The whole Isaaq with British support were once used against the Bahgeri, Ogaden. They could not defeat them. Laughing
