part of the solution is to stop ethiopia from using somaliland ports.

or is it unproductive, in the sense that it might effect somalilands recognition?

i realy need to understand why does it seem like everyone is scared to offend the ethiopians.
Biko there you go again getting emotional and not thinking logically.

First of all Berbera is not as important to Ethiopia as Djibouti,
Ethiopia can afford not to have any trade at all with berbera and it will not affect them at all.

Ethiopia is interested in Berbera becuase it has the potential to take most of the trade in the future, but not now
now it is insignifigant.

now tell me if you will not have such a big impact on ethiopia, simply annoy them a bit,
and in the same time you will harm your own economy why should you do it?

this is not bravery , it is stupidity.

alxamdulilah we somalilanders are not plagued with this ailment.

qudhac & gurey

look, my point is to show ethiopia that as somalis we are not happy with their involvement in the south.

the port in berbera might not be as important as the one in djibouti but important enough for them to be using all the same. and from my understanding, ethiopian cargo are never inspected. so fock knows whats coming through that port and going straight to the south for God knows what purpose.

am not saying that somaliland should burn what they have been building for nearly two decade, but whos to say ones the south is firmly under control the next target wont be somaliland? dabadhilif are the only things that are in abundant in this day and age, so may be somaliland should be sending a strong message to the xabashas.

i think am reaching the point where what am realy trying to say is not coming out the way i want it, so i'll give this a break and see what others have to say.

First of all Ethiopia { I'm talking Mengistu Haile Mariam not the current tigre illliterates} helped the SNM in getting their military capabilities . Back then the Xabuush knew that TRUE somalis could fight their own battles if given sufficient logistic.
Anyway Biko although we { as Somalilanders } are unhappy about the Ethiopian invasion of the South , there's really nothing much we can do about it , they've been invited by the TFG.

Biko,

Djibouti needs to place pressure as more of Ethiopia's goods come from there. Djibouti could also help stop the AC-130s from bombing Somalia for the 2nd time in over 14 years.

Ina Baxar,

The so called TFG also claims Somaliland and will invite Ethiopia in when they want too. That is not a feasible excuse just because the TFG invited them in. You are assuming the Ethiopians asked for an invitation in Laughing Laughing

AW , I doubt any TFG /Ethiopian coalition will launch an offensive against us anytime soon.
You {AW} were a fervent supporter of an Ethiopian incursion in order to crush the ICU a couple of months ago , what's your problem ?
You should have thought about it from the begining saxib .

The TFG has already launched offensives in Dhahar where the Somaliland Army was routed by the TFG's surrogate Puntland.

I was for the crushing of the ICU. Not for the devastation of Xamar.

You're now for the crushing of the TFG? As I have already mentioned, you're a flip flopper.

Abdi you of all people should know not to ascribe anything to the TFG aka embagathi faction.

in reality they are nothing.

everything they have today is a consequense of the utter mind numbing stupidity of the ICU.

We somalilanders do not think that the TFG has any importance at all.
